Wanjiang Yuba

Yuba (a tofu-like food) is said to have originated during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) and has more than 1,000 years of history.

In Dongguan, Yuba is one of the ancient traditional foods, and Wanjiang Yuba is the most famous among them. Cooked with meat or seafood, the yuba absorbs the juices of the dish, making it extremely delicious. Dongguan people like to put it in porridge to enhance its smoothness. During holidays and festivals it is eaten as a symbol of affluence.
