Four China-Europe freight trains set out from Guangdong and Hunan provinces on Thursday morning for Germany, Russia and Belarus.

The trains, loaded with 200 containers of goods, will arrive in Duisburg of Germany, Vorsino, Russia, and Minsk, Belarus, in about two weeks, according to the freight train's operator, Sinotrans.

Goods for the European market include medical materials to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, toys, lamps, lanterns, electronic items, furniture and bicycle frames.

Sinotrans has four freight operation centers — in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan in Guangdong, and in Changsha, Hunan — for efficient shipping of goods from southern China to Europe, Central Asia and Southeast Asia.

In the first half of this year, eight trains carrying goods made by Chinese home appliance giant Midea Group departed from Guangdong for Europe, helping boost exports.
