A Chinese martial arts competition was held recently in Belarus by the Confucius Classroom, which was established by Belarusian State University (BSU) and Lingnan Normal University of Zhanjiang.

A total of 52 teams comprised of more than 600 athletes from countries like Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Italy participated in the competition. The three-day competition was divided into two parts: traditional martial arts routines and martial arts combat. Teams and observers from seven Confucius Institutes of Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Portugal, Serbia, and other countries attended and watched the competition.

The Confucius Classroom also brought a number of Chinese cultural experience activities to audiences and athletes. The martial arts team and dragon dance team of Lingnan Normal University carried out performances and interacted with the audience, deepening the local attendees' understanding of Chinese martial arts and setting off a wave of Chinese martial arts and traditional culture exchange learning in Belarus.
