The petrochemical steel tourism route of Zhanjiang was included on the provincial quality industrial tourist route list, according to the recent notification made by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. 

The provincial list aims to further advance all-for-one tourism in Guangdong, carry out universal education on industrial knowledge, and enhance the influence of Guangdong's manufacturing industry.

A total of 20 tourist routes were included on the provincial list.

The major tourist attractions along the Zhanjiang petrochemical steel tourism route include the Xicheng Express Line, the Donghai Island Railway, the BASF (Guangdong) Integrated Base project, Zhongke (Guangdong) Refinery and Petrochemical Co, Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Co, as well as Huguangyan Scenic Area and the Fisherman's Wharf.
