Yingde, a town in Qingyuan, has been praised as "the home of black tea". Black tea from Yingde ranks among the top five national-level black teas of China.

The tea, with its brilliant red color and rich aroma, has been exported to and  become very popular in Great Britain. It was the tea that the Queen Elizabeth II drank.
