Foshan Paper Cutting boasts a long history. It became popular as early as the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), and at its height, Foshan housed more than 30 paper cutting shops, distributing paper cutting products across south and east Asia. Foshan Paper Cutting can be divided into three categories according to the methods used: single color cutting, lining color cutting and painting color cutting.
