Heji Manggong (blind man) Cake is a famous local product of Foshan. It was first made by a blind man (mang gong in local dialect), thus it is so named.

Manggong Cake tastes sweet, palatable and crisp. It was first created during the Jiaqing Period of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), and has a history of 160 years.

Outside of Foshan, Manggong cakes are sold far and wide to places like America, Canada, Australia, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macao. They are well received by overseas Chinese and foreigners alike.
