Leizhou culture brought to Zhuhai
Music, opera, calligraphy, and photography from the county-level city of Leizhou in Guangdong province were displayed in Zhuhai on Dec 3, to celebrate the opening of the Zhuhai branch of the Leizhou chamber of commerce.

Leizhou's cultural heritages, colorful folk customs, and natural scenery were showed off at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center for more than 1,000 guests. Leizhou culture is one of the four famous cultures from Guangdong, the other three being Cantonese, Teochew and Hakka.

An orchestra provided the harmonic back up for eight singers from Leizhou who performed 14 original pieces themed on the city's beauty and history.
Winner of China's top award for theater, the Plum Performance Award, Lin Fen, played a classic piece of Leizhou opera.

Mo Gebo, the first curator of the Art Gallery of Guangdong Literary Federation, was joined by three calligraphers and wrote famous phrases set to music.

The event, led by Leizhou's chamber of commerce in Zhuhai, was jointly-organized by local art associations and societies.
