A team of well-educated domestic helpers has been established in Guangzhou to provide quality services to the public, according to Guangzhou Women's Federation. Two or three more of such groups will emerge in the city later this year.

The team is trained to satisfy the increasing need of maternal and baby care in Guangzhou, following the implementation of country's second-child policy.

The skills include maternal and baby care, breastfeeding guidance, rehabilitation physiotherapy, mental health counseling, and early childhood education.

Such teams are a part of the key domestic helper service projects initiated by Guangzhou Women's Federation, which intends to upgrade the platform for training professional domestic helpers.

The federation also launched online domestic helper booking service last year.

"The federation has served Guangzhou residents in domestic helping areas for more than 30 years. In the new year, we will continue to focus on the professional domestic helper training to build more high-quality family service teams," said Li Jiaqing, director of Guangzhou Women and Children Social Service Center under the federation.
