Hakka culture promoted at Meizhou fair
Meizhou, Guangdong province was further promoted as the world Hakka capital during the Sixth Hakka Cultural and Creative Products Fair held from Dec 7 to 10.
A record-setting 350 exhibitors showcased their products in 20 exhibition areas covering an area of 10,000 square meters.
During the fair, the ceremony for the Third "Hakka Capital Culture Cup" Cultural and Creative Products Competition was held, revealing three gold medalists, six silver medalists and 10 bronze medalists.
At the exhibition pavilion showcasing local cultural and creative products, eight counties and districts of Meizhou displayed their ceramics, bamboo carvings, wood carvings, leaf paintings, lanterns and opera masks, showcasing the distinct culture of the city.
