Greater Bay Area arts highlighted at Guangzhou intl art fair
The 24th Guangzhou International Art Fair (Spring) concluded at China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou on June 24, with deals worth 350 million yuan ($50.8 million) inked at the four-day event.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Art Exhibition was a highlight of the fair with 21 young artists from 11 cities of the Greater Bay Area showcasing their works. Through their works, the artists expressed a variety of local cultures such as Cantonese culture, Hakka culture, Chaozhou-Shantou culture, and the cultures in Hong Kong and Macao.
The works by many young artists were refreshing, with unique personality and artistic expression, said Peng Wenbin, art director of the fair.
The art fair also displayed original photography works by 14 artists from 10 African countries including South Africa, Kenya, and Cameroon, attracting collectors from all over the world.
