Huge Zhuhai pharma investments made at Asia expo
Zhuhai biomedicine and medical-device parks and industry clusters secured more than 216 million yuan ($31.5 million) in letters of intent from investors at CPhI China 2019.
Fourteen Zhuhai pharmaceutical enterprises including Livzon Pharmaceutical Group, United Laboratories, Rundu Pharmaceutical, Kinhoo Pharmaceutical, and Yipin Pharmaceutical represented the city at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from June 18 to 20. They met with counterparts and attracted potential buyers at the trade show.
Key enterprises such as Guangdong VTR Bio-Tech and Zhuhai OMEC Instruments occupied 335 sq m (399 sq yd) of the 371 sq m (444 sq yd) earmarked for the Zhuhai delegation. The National Foreign Trade Transformation & Upgrading Demonstration Base of Jinwan District deployed 36 sq m (43 sq yd) of booths that were used for free by small and medium-sized corporate exhibiters, according to the Zhuhai Bureau of Commerce.
CPhI China is one of the most comprehensive pharmaceutical exhibitions in Asia. China, the world's second-largest pharmaceutical consumer and biggest exporter of bulk pharmaceutical chemicals, provided international pharmaceutical business exchanges and displayed technical innovations.
The event attracted more than 3,200 companies and 70,000 businesspeople from 120 countries and regions. Over 100 activities took place to display 2019's top trends and state-of-the-art technologies in pharmaceuticals.
