The foreign affairs office of the Shenzhen municipal government gave their interpretation on the city's implementation opinion on promoting the construction of international blocks to enhance its internationalization level to the public in a recent exchange meeting.

According to the opinion, Shenzhen's goal of building international blocks will be a three-step process. Firstly, 15 international blocks will be built by 2022. Secondly, an international block network will be established in the city by 2025. Thirdly, the international blocks will serve as an important foundation for the construction of the city becoming an internationalized metropolis by 2030, gathering together global advanced technologies and high-end talents.

Construction of international blocks will be conducted in six fields, covering the planning of the international block network, supporting public services, a talent service system, smart construction, an international environment, and the promotion of the international block concept.
