As the global partner and official timekeeper of FIBA, the leading Swiss watchmaker and time specialist Tissot is staging a nationwide roadshow in China to usher in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
The roadshow, which is set to last through mid-September, tipped off in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on July 24 and will later roll out in Shanghai, Nanjing in Jiangsu province, and Beijing.
The event is comprised of its FIBA City Champion 1v1 and 3v3 basketball challenges, as well as basketball-themed promotions of special editon watches commemorating the forthcoming 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup in China, with a rich choice of games available for participants.
As the first stop of the national roadshow, Tissot set up a standard 3v3 basketball court and a showroom in downtown Guangzhou, along with basketball-themed games and a booth showcasing the special edition watches.
Each finalist of the challenges will be awarded a special edition watch with the official FIBA 3v3 logo engraved on the caseback.

The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup is set to be held from Aug 31 to Sept 15 across eight Chinese cities: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, and Dongguan of Guangdong, Nanjing of Jiangsu province, Wuhan of Hubei province, as well as Shanghai and Beijing.
A marketing executive cited the facts that Guangdong has four of the eight host cities for this year's FIBA Basketball World Cup and that the Guangdong market has a strategic significance are among the key reasons why Guangzhou was the first stop of the nationwide event.
Tissot's official website indicates that the brand has over 120 outlets in Guangdong, mostly in the affluent Pearl River Delta region.
On the occasion celebrating the one-year countdown to the tipping off the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Beijing late last August, President of Tissot Francois Thiebaud said that being associated with such an international basketball event underlined the firm's dynamic nature, as well as its values of precision and performance.
"Offering exclusive services to the World Cup and celebrating the key moments also give our customers an additional reason to be proud of their commitment to Tissot," he said.
