Greater Bay Area enthralls Macao, HK entrepreneurs

The nine cities in the Pearl River Delta will each have at least one Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Base by 2025, which will be supplemented by substantial financial support and comprehensive public services.
Guangzhou, for instance, plans to establish 10 Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Municipal Demonstration Bases within three years and give them an annual operation subsidy of 1 million yuan ($141,649). In-house start-ups will be exempted from office area fees for half a year.
A 1 billion yuan Hong Kong-Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Fund has been set up to invest in high-quality projects. Hong Kong and Macao youth will be able to for Guangzhou’s talent green card, which can earn them preferential treatment in business registration, children's school enrollment, home purchases.
Likewise, eligible Hong Kong and Macao entrepreneurs that start their business in Shenzhen are entitled to social insurance, rental, and employment subsidies.
A great number of industrial innovation centers, technical innovation centers, and public service centers will be established across Shenzhen to provide supportive services related to R&D, technical transfer, and technological consultation.
Of particular note is the 1 yuan rent policy of the Zhuhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone. Hong Kong and Macao innovation and entrepreneurship projects only need to pay 1 yuan to rent an area less than 200 square meters, with subsidies offered for any space exceeding 200 square meters.
