Maoming nominated as National Civilized City
Maoming in Guangdong province has been nominated as a "National Civilized City" for the 2021 to 2023 period, according to the Central Guidance Commission for Building Spiritual Civilization.
It is the only new prefecture-level city in the province to win this honor.
As one of the most important and influential awards for Chinese cities, the National Civilized City title honors cities which have performed well in terms of standard of living, social harmony, environmental preservation, as well as in the manners and etiquette of residents.
