Foshan starts global collection of city image, slogan projects

Foshan, the third largest economic powerhouse in Guangdong province and China's hometown of martial arts, recently launched a city image and publicity slogan collection activity in order to improve its global visibility and influence and promote its brand image.

The deadline for project submissions is Oct 28.

1. Project requirements

(1) Slogans to be submitted should have proper and profound themes, and reflect the characteristics and developmental trend of the city;

(2) Slogans to be submitted should be creative, concise, vivid and catchy;

(3) Slogans to be submitted should be presented in simplified Chinese and be limited to 20 Chinese characters;

(4) Notes and project descriptions (within 300 words) should be attached.

2. Prizes

(1) Grand prize: one winner (the final selection award); 50,000 yuan ($7,743.61)

(2) First prize: one winner; 30,000 yuan

(3) Second prize: five winners; 5,000 yuan for each

(4) Third prize: 10 winners; 2,000 yuan for each

(5) Finalist award: 100 winners; Picture Album, Charms of Foshan

All winners will receive their own honor certificates.

3. Instructions

(1) The activity will be carried out in a spirit of openness, fairness and impartiality. All winners will be selected based on a preliminary evaluation by experts, online public voting, a final evaluation by experts, and a bulletin review.

(2) All submitted projects must be original, and in accordance with relevant national laws, regulations and public interests. If there is any violation, the author shall assume corresponding legal responsibilities and consequences.

(3) For two identical projects, the one submitted earliest shall enter the selection process.

(4) All shortlisted projects shall be regarded as the projects commissioned by the organizers. All copyright and user rights of these works belong to the organizers, and the direct and indirect interests of the projects shall not be owned by the original authors. The authors only have the right to receive remuneration.

(5) All prize amounts are listed pre-tax.

(6) Participants can only submit projects via one channel.

(7) All rights are reserved by the organizers.

(8) For all submitted projects, the organizers own (not limited to) the rights to modify, copy, film, show, exhibit, broadcast, compile, transmit online, and use in overseas promotional products.
