Market-focused action plan sets city apart as hub for cooperation
Foshan is an ideal choice for developing businesses and seeking cooperation as the city has improved its business environment and rolled out supportive policies, business representatives said during an investment promotion conference held in Foshan, Guangdong province recently.
"Our projects have been running smoothly and rapidly in Foshan, which provides us with a better environment for operations," Foshan Daily quoted Deng Xiaobai, co-founder and CEO of DoraOpt, a Shenzhen-based company engaged in artificial intelligence technology.
In August, DoraOpt built its industrial headquarters in Shunde district of Foshan, with an investment that surpassed 1 billion yuan ($157.6 million). Along with manufacturing plants, the company said it established an intelligent industrial ecosystem consisting of upstream and downstream partners.
During the conference, the local government announced its latest action plan to provide businesses with all-around services. The plan was dubbed Yishaini, which means dedicated to offer services in all aspects.
The plan was rolled out to benefit companies, which is distinctive and impressive, Deng said.

Shenzhen-based 3nod, an intelligent solutions provider, has invested in projects in Foshan.
"Foshan's policy is suited to manufacturing development," said Liu Zhixiong, chairman and CEO of 3nod.
The city has forged ahead with building a global manufacturing innovation hub and accelerated the transformation of digitization and intelligentization, which demonstrates shrewd strategic planning, Liu said.
The action plan signals an updated administration philosophy by the Foshan government and implies the government's attachment to the market, Liu said.
The service aspect of the action plan shows Foshan's forward vision in administrative services, Liu said. He added that the city is set to support businesses development and thus contribute to social value.
Liu Tangzhi, president of Chinese television maker Skyworth Group, said that Foshan's business environment ranks No 1 in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Foshan is one of the three cities in Guangdong province whose GDP has each topped 1 trillion yuan. The city has also done a great job in improving its business environment, the executive said.
Foshan is continuing to roll out such a plan to support enterprises on the basis that achievement in GDP gives others great opportunities to invest in the city, he added.
The whole chain service that will be offered also helps more companies seek development and promote Foshan's development in the future, he said.
"Foshan's effort in building its service brand for the business environment represents the city government's wisdom and can act as a demonstration to other cities in how to attract businesses from across the country," he added.
