50km hike sports carnival kicks off in Foshan
Over 300,000 hiking enthusiasts from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area took part in the Foshan 50KM Hike on April 1, with five routes for participants to walk through before heading to their final destination – the Century Lotus Sports Center.
First held in 2015, the Foshan 50KM Hike has been widely praised by citizens and recognized as a grand event in the Greater Bay Area. Through walking to and visiting landmarks across the city and along the hike route, residents can feel Foshan's charm and witness its development.
Notably, this year's Foshan 50KM Hike was upgraded to a cultural week. With integrated online and offline resources, this week-long event aimed to display Foshan's latest progress in building a livable, resilient and smart city, as well as to publicize the city's high-quality modern urban construction.
