Q: If a project does not fall within the technology fields stipulated in the guidelines, is it ineligible for application?

A: Excellent projects that do not fall within the technology fields stipulated by the guidelines are also eligible for application.

Q: According to the Approach[D3] , priority will be given to projects that have obtained financing. If a project has established a company and has obtained financing in another place before and now it applies to be industrialized in Foshan, does this project qualify as one that has obtained financing? [D4] 

A: Yes, financing is proof that the project has good industrial prospects, but after approval, the project shall only be implemented in Foshan.

Q: What are the shareholding requirements for the start-up’s team leader and core members?

A: (1) Among the team leader and core members, at least three individuals shall hold shares;

(2) The sum of the shares held by the team leader and core members shall account for no less than 30%;

(3) Team members must not hold shares in trust.

Q: According to the guidelines, the sum of the shares held by the team leader and core members shall account for no less than 30%. If there are multiple members and some non-core members hold shares, do the shares of the non-core members count into the 30%?

A: Only shares held by the team leader and core members are counted. At least three core members must hold shares.

Q: Is a team that has obtained the district’s support for talent teams eligible for application? If so, how much is the funding amount?

A: The team can choose the higher one among the financial supports. If a team is granted the level-A district support of 3 million yuan in Nanhai District and level-A project approval from the Foshan National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, the team can choose one not both.

Q: If there is no project company when applying, can a company that has been established for more than two years be taken as the project company?

A: No.

Q: If a company that applies for level-A funding is rated as level B, will it be downgraded or disqualified?

A: We will consult the party for downgrading. If the party agrees, then the process will continue. If the party disagrees, the application fails.
