Built in 1996, Nanhai Film and Television City, also known as CCTV Nanhai Film and Television City, is located on Film and Television Avenue, Shishan Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City. It is a comprehensive tourist area integrating film and television shooting services, sightseeing, cultural entertainment, and leisure and vacation experiences. With an area of 1 million square meters, it has pseudo-classic buildings in the Ming and Qing dynastic styles as well as that of the Republic of China era, imperial palaces and Jiangnan watertowns and Hong Kong and Macau streets. The TV series filmed in Nanhai Film and Television City include "The Story of Hong Kong" and "Taiping Kingdom of Heaven".
