The Foshan Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone Administrative Committee, the Nanhai district government and the Institute of New Materials of the Guangdong Academy of Sciences jointly established the Foshan Taoyuan Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute in October 2020.

The institute conducts basic theoretical research, makes core and common technological breakthroughs on engineering technologies of modern material surfaces, and develops high-performance coating materials and their preparation technologies.

It has established a research and development supporting platform, and introduced high-end talents in the field of materials at home and abroad to develop a series of technologies with independent intellectual property rights.
