A ceremony was held in Shunde Park of Foshan National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in south China's Guangdong province on May 8 to mark the inauguration of Shenling Environment Smart Manufacturing Base.

The smart manufacturing base was invested by Guangdong Shenling Environmental Systems Co., Ltd., which is a home-grown firm in Shunde and went public on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in last July.

With an area of 200 mu (about 13.3 hectares) and a total floor area of 188,000 square meters, the newly inaugurated manufacturing base is integrated with office building, research & development, and manufacturing sections and is positioned to be a full-life-cycle low-carbon and smart park.

During the construction of the digital industrial base, Guangdong Shenling Environmental Systems has received great support from National Development and Reform Commission and Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission and adopted lots of self-developed technologies connected with low-carbon development, environmental control for buildings and smart digitalization.

The industrial base will closely follow the changes of the market and the demands of prospective clients and achieve a fast delivery of customized products via an efficient and collaborative mechanism on data interchange-driven product research, manufacturing and supply chains.

A smart management platform will be launched to facilitate the centralized processing of data in each block with 5G and edge computing technologies, achieve a collaborative development of all modules at three-dimensional and aerial interactive interfaces, and realize the regulation of energy consumption, the smart control of air conditioners and lights, equipment monitoring, visitor and property management, and safety alert in a one-stop solution.

According to Shunde Park of Foshan High-tech Zone, it will align existing industrial chains and firms with future investment promotion activities, strive for new achievements in the fields of electronic information, smart robots and new materials, and bolster the convergence and upgrading of equipment manufacturing and smart home appliance industries.
