Maoming looks forward to farmers' harvest festival celebrations

The city of Maoming will hold activities to celebrate the fourth Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival on Sept 23 to celebrate the harvest, promote culture and vitalize rural areas.

The annual Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival started in 2018. It falls on the same day as the Autumnal Equinox each year, one of the 24 solar terms of the Chinese lunar calendar.

The main venue of the city's activities is in Fenjie town in Gaozhou, a county-level city in Maoming. The rural revitalization and beautiful village tour routes will be launched here as well as beneficial farming policies and the VR panoramic video of Fenjie town.

A bazaar that will exhibit and sell the city's featured delicacies, agricultural products, daily necessities and poverty alleviation products will be set up in the town's Xinghua village. In addition, local entrepreneurs and internet celebrities will do on-site live streams to promote the local products.

A challenge competition for the rural revitalization promotion law will also take place in the town on the same day.
