The Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism recently announced the fourth batch of provincial-level all-for-one tourism demonstration areas. Among them, Xinyi, a county-level city in Maoming, was included.

In recent years, Xinyi has been boosting all-for-one tourism as a development strategy.

It built a 43-kilometer-long greenway that connects Bafang village, Zhenlong town, Gaocheng village, and Dongzhen neighborhood. The greenway integrates the beautiful countryside and scenic spots along the route, which is expected to boost rural development.

The greenway, coupled with Douzhou Ancient City, has become a national 4A-level open scenic area, and the greenway village adventure tour made the list of the second batch of provincial quality rural tourism routes.

Xinyi has also been promoting the construction of rural tourism facilities. It has built more than 20 countryside parks and eight forest parks, and launched three quality rural tourism routes, of which two are at the provincial level.

The successful hosting of the Glory of Heroes international kickboxing competition and the Nanyue Ancient Post Road Orienteering Competition both in 2018 and 2019 has also helped the development of all-for-one tourism in Xinyi.

Since last year, the city has planned to invest nearly 600 million yuan ($92.78 million) in the key cultural and tourism projects, including the Sanhua Plum Theme Park in Baishi town and the Gaocheng Reservoir Scenic Area, which will be built according to the national 4A-level scenic areas' standards.

Through the construction of aforementioned projects, Xinyi will promote the comprehensive upgrading and development of scenic spots around the city.
