Xinyi, a county-level city in Maoming, Guangdong province, has arranged 57 key construction projects in 2022, including 33 new projects and 24 continued projects, with a total investment of 21.48 billion yuan ($3.21 billion) and an annual planned investment of 3.37 billion yuan.

As of June 14, Xinyi has started 41 projects, with an operating rate of 72 percent, and completed an annual investment of 1.27 billion yuan, accounting for 51.98 percent of the annual investment plan.

Xinyi County-level City Theater is being built on the west side of Yingbin Avenue and Dongzhen Street, covering a total construction area of 30,250 square meters and boasting a total investment of 335 million yuan, including multi-functional rooms, cinemas, theaters, as well as parking lots.

The technical director of the project said that since construction began in July 2021, about 72 percent of the total construction work and 55 percent of the decoration work have been completed.

At present, the first phase of the rural vitalization project of Shuanghe village in Qianpai town and the rural vitalization project of Lihuagu village have been completed. Construction on the second phase of the rural vitalization construction project in Shuanghe village has started and is expected to be completed by December.
