Long Ziqing won the first gold medal for the Maoming sports delegation in the women's group C 45kg judo competition at the 16th Guangdong Provincial Games, which is being held in Qingyuan city, Guangdong province.

The judo competition was the first competitive group event of the current provincial games, which boasts 494 athletes from 18 cities across the province competing for 33 gold medals.

Long's victory not only showcased her individual excellence, but also helped achieve a breakthrough for Maoming judo. Another Maoming athlete Deng Lin finished in fifth place in the women's Group C 45kg judo event.
