In Maoming, the air is ripe with the sweet promise of another flourishing lychee export season. On May 8, Guangdong Zefengyuan Agricultural Products celebrated a milestone as they shipped 20 metric tons of fresh lychees to Canada.

Maoming's lychee industry is on the rise, with more than 1,000 tons expected to be exported to more than 10 countries this year. This success is attributed to the invaluable guidance and support extended by Maoming Customs, according to Lin Bo, the manager of Zefengyuan.

Located in a region renowned for its advantageous geography, Maoming is a vital hub for lychee production. With a cultivation area encompassing a fifth of the nation, Maoming boasts a diverse array of over 40 premium lychee varieties.

Maoming Customs has been instrumental in facilitating this growth, implementing targeted support measures and establishing a "green channel" for expedited customs clearance. Their efforts have ensured a seamless process for lychee exports.

Looking ahead, Maoming Customs is committed to refining its oversight services to help lychee enterprises seize the opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

With a steadfast focus on ensuring zero delays in customs clearance, Maoming is poised to propel its prized lychees onto the global stage, showcasing the best of Guangdong's bounty to the world.
