The Haitian branch of the Yulin-Zhanjiang Expressway was connected on June 19, with the last box girder of the No 3 bridge of the Haitian Interchange Overpass set up.

Spanning about 196 kilometers, the Yulin-Zhanjiang Expressway links Yulin in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and Zhanjiang in Guangdong province. When completed, it will be a major transportation channel that links cities within the Beibu Gulf, playing a significant role in promoting regional economic development and completing the local transportation network.

The Haitian branch is located near Huanglue town in Suixi county. Its construction started in September 2019, with facilities like the Haitian Interchange Overpass being built.

The Haitian Interchange Overpass links Haitian Road in the city, the Haitian branch of the Yulin-Zhanjiang Expressway, the G228 national highway, and Tiaoshun Bridge. It is an important node for the rapid transformation of traffic flow between expressways and main roads.

The overpass is composed of seven bridges in total, including one main bridge. The main bridge spans 835.68 meters in length, and will be the nearest expressway entrance and exit for the city's Chikan district. It will only take 10 minutes to get on the expressway from the district.
