The Fairy Cave Scenic Area is located in Fairy Cave Village, home to the southern foothill of Dawu Mountain, the highest mountain in Western Guangdong, the main peak of which is 1,708 meters above sea level. The scenic area is mist-shrouded most of the time, and looks like a fairyland.

The scenic spots that have been developed include Baipu Ladder, Fairy Turtle Exploring Water, Yinyuantan, Tianhe Waterfall, Fairy Cave Blessing, Fairy Crocodile Going to the Sea, Fairy Waterfall, Shendiao, Jade Belt Waterfall, Sea of Rhododendron, Alpine Prairie, Bamboo Sea, Thousand-mu Tea Gardens and Summer Resort. The Tianhe River in the scenic area has many creeks and waterfalls. During the wet season, the waterfalls flow down from high-altitude mountains, appearing like a Milky Way falling from the sky. There are also wild rhododendron forests. During blossoming season, the wild rhododendrons grow and add color everywhere. The rhododendron forest on the peak of the scenic area covers tens of thousands of mu and is known as the "Rhododendron Kingdom".

Fairy Cave Village, with well-preserved ecology and high anion content (about 100,000 / cm3), is a well-known "Longevity Land" in China. With dense virgin forests, fresh air, warm winters and cool summers, the scenic area is the only place in Guangdong and the country where fans and air conditioners have never be used. So it is called the "air-conditioned village".
