Madam Xian is born at the Southern and Northern Dynasties era in the year 512 and live in the war era among Chen Dynasty(557-589) and Sui Dynasty(581-618).
Madam Xian is a female leader of Bai Yue People at Lingnan area multi races at Guangdong and Guangxi 
are living peace and united under her rule. Madam Xian Temple was built to remember and appreciate the peace and united that brought to local people by Madam Xian. 

Located at Dongmen Wenming Road, Gaozhou, on the north side of Madam Xian Park (formerly Panzhou Park), Gaozhou Madam Xian Temple faces south. In the 14th year of the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it was built by then Gaozhou magistrate Shi Jian. In the 43rd years of the Jiajing period and in the Tongzhi Period of Qing Dynasty(1644-1911), it was reconstructed. In Dec 1990, it was reconstructed again. The reconstruction began in Aug 1992, and was completed in Dec 1994. A stele was built to commemorate this reconstruction. In July 2002, the Temple was approved as a provincial-level protected cultural relic.

The main building of the temple is divided into the front hall, the middle hall, the main hall and the back hall along the longitudinal axis. The total depth is 62.2 meters, the width is 13.2 meters, and the building area is 826.3 square meters. The temple adopts the masonry-timber structure. It has red walls and green tiles, buckets and overhanging eaves, carved beams and painted rafters, and gorgeous decorations. The national and local styles were expressed through art forms such as colored drawings, paste-on-paste decoration, and carvings, especially of stone and wood. Inscriptions and couplets record the life stories of Mrs. Xian and the respect for her shown by the officials and ordinary people.
