Located 14.5 kilometers southeast of Shuidong town, Dianbai county, Fangji Island is 122 meters above sea level and has an area of 1.9 square kilometers. 

It is a famous island in western Guangdong and the largest island in Maoming. With a seawater visibility of up to 8 meters, it is suitable for diving and fishing. The island has beautiful scenery including various stone formations, beaches, caves, rocks, forests, sunlight and sea water. 

As one of the first provincial-level tourist resorts in the province and a national AAA-level tourist area, it is known as an "Oriental Hawaii".
