Maoming in South China's Guangdong province has exported a total of 143.5 metric tons of lychees to foreign countries like the United States, Canada, Australia, and Singapore by May 28, up 12.6 percent year-on-year, according to data from Maoming Customs.

The value of exported lychees totaled $563,000, with a year-on-year increase of 44.2 percent.

Maoming Customs has actively implemented the measures launched by the General Administration of Customs to support the work resumption of foreign trade enterprises, as well as made full use of its advantages to help develop the international market.

It has quickly completed the examination and approval of the registration of export fruit packing plants through online checks, took the initiative to collect foreign inspection and quarantine requirements and standards for pesticide residues for relevant enterprises, as well as opened green channels for the export of agricultural products.
