This marked the successful start of the '9610' and ‘9710’ models for exports in Maoming, contributing to the city's economic transformation, as well as the upgrading and cultivation of new growth drivers.
The '9610' model was created in February 2014. Under this model, customs staff only needs to review a list of export commodities submitted in advance by enterprises and they will release the goods after passing the review. It improves efficiency and reduces the cost of customs clearance.
Cross-border e-commerce B2B exports are divided into two categories. One is the direct export of goods from domestic businesses to overseas businesses by cross-border logistics, while the other is the export of goods by a domestic business to its overseas warehouse first, and then to overseas purchasers.
Maoming was approved by the State Council to set up the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone in May, and was added to the list of cross-border e-commerce B2B export supervision pilot zones by the General Administration of Customs in August.
