Binhai New Area in Maoming, South China's Guangdong province, has seen rapid development since the beginning of 2020, and is contributing to Maoming's transformation into a modern coastal city with a strong industrial base.

From January to November, fixed-asset investment in the new area increased by 32.6 percent year-on-year. By December, it had 25 new fixed-asset investment projects of more than 5 million yuan ($766,279), and two new small and micro-sized industrial enterprises above designated size.
