Yuan Gujie has been appointed Party secretary of Maoming, according to a recent decision by the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee.

Yuan was born in 1968, and she served as vice procurator-general of the Guangdong Provincial People's Procuratorate, deputy head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, and director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Guangdong Province. She became mayor and deputy Party secretary of Maoming in 2019.
