A batch of instant "Boiled Fish with Pickled Cabbage and Chili" has been exported after passing quarantine inspection by Maoming Customs - the first time that the city has exported such products.

The batch of Boiled Fish with Pickled Cabbage and Chili, worth about 274,000 yuan ($42,747.34), was produced by Maoming Hengxing Aquatic Products Technology Co.

Known as the "tilapia capital of China", Maoming is the largest tilapia production base in the country. But for a long time, frozen tilapia fillets have been the main tilapia export products.

The instant Boiled Fish with Pickled Cabbage and Chilis, packaged with frozen tilapia fillets and pickled cabbage, only needs to be defrosted and cooked before eating. Its export will further improve the added value of tilapia, and lay a good foundation for aquatic enterprises to better expand into overseas markets.

Maoming Customs has been advancing reforms and improving the business environment at the port, and making use of an "internet + customs" online service platform to efficiently handle registration procedures for export enterprises. It also strives to make customs policies as clear as possible.

"Thanks to the great help of Maoming Customs, the Boiled Fish with Pickled Cabbage and Chili products can be exported smoothly," said the person in charge of Maoming Hengxing Aquatic Products Technology.
