The Zhonggu Park in Maoming has been constructed and was opened to the public on Sept 1, bringing more leisure activities to people in the city.

The park has a planned area of 11,409.4 square meters, and has a number of sculptures and landscaping that reflect the city's history and culture such as the 12 Chinese zodiac signs and the stone archway. An asphalt track was built around the park, which is convenient for people to do physical exercise.

"The northwestern part of the city has minimal parks or public spaces. This park offers a good place to take a stroll after dinner. It is really good," said a citizen who lives nearby.

In recent years, Maoming has been accelerating the construction of urban parks in recent years and aims to further improve its living environment and enhance people's happiness. A number of parks have been newly constructed and renovated.
