On Oct 14, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced 30 national agricultural socialization service models.

Among them, Huazhou's new model of centralized, contiguous and large-scale trusteeship was included, which is the only one in Guangdong province.

These models have their own character, and are easy to promote countrywide. They will play a positive role in speeding up the development of agricultural socialization services, promote cutting costs and efficiently improve agriculture as well as increase farmers' output and incomes.

Huazhou, a county-level city in Maoming, is located in mountainous areas in the southwestern part of Guangdong province and boasts a cultivated area of 880,000 mu (58,666.67 hectares). It has great difficulty in production trusteeship.

The new model was created by the city to reduce the cost of organizing farmers and service transactions, and explore a new path to realize agricultural modernization in hilly and mountainous areas.

A three-level trusteeship system has been basically established, integrating 23 service subjects, 286 farm machinery operators, over 40 experts and 510 trustees.
