Chuliang village in Maoming made the list of China's Beautiful Leisure Villages in 2021, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

Xinghua village, a natural village under the jurisdiction of Chuliang village, boasts beautiful natural and cultural scenery and a long history.

The village is a scenic spot on the western line of the Gaozhou section of the Splendid 100-Li (50,000-meter) greenway and one of the first beautiful rural boutique routes in Guangdong province.

A 6.8-kilometer greenway was built in the village as well. Characteristic industries such as longan, crocodile and tourism are being developed along the greenway, as well as emerging industries such as homestays, catering, and e-commerce, to promote rural revitalization.
