The Maoming forestry bureau and Huazhou government held a forest trekking activity in Shilong mountain park in the county-level city of Huazhou on Nov 20. Some officers from Maoming and Huazhou and 100 other people participated in.

The forest trek is about 7 kilometers long and takes about 90 minutes to complete. People can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Huazhou during the trek, as the city has been developing itself into a forest city promotion.

Maoming has recently been focusing on protecting its environment. It built a large number of forest culture science education bases, including a forest park, wetland park, and forest culture plaza, and has carried out publicity activities such as voluntary tree planting, world wildlife day, and forest city.

The recent activity showcased the results of Huazhou's support for Maoming in the creation of a forest city.
