An activity featuring online celebrities was held by the cyberspace administration of Maoming to promote  Maoming's achievements in rural revitalization.

In Chuliang village, village cadres are helping villagers develop longan planting and processing, e-commerce and cultural tourism. Xinghua village is a village under the jurisdiction of Chuliang village boasting beautiful natural scenery, rich culture and history.

Ren Moxiao, the Party secretary of Chuliang village, said that Xinghua village is home to a 6.8-kilometer greenway and a modern agriculture demonstration park. During the Spring Festival and Labor Day holidays, it received more than 20,000 tourists per day. Local industries such as longan, crocodile and tourism are being developed along the greenway.

Villagers in Xinghua village plant and process longan, lychee, orange and guava as well as breed crocodiles, which have helped to reduce unemployment.

Chuliang village was awarded the civilized village of Maoming and selected as China's beautiful leisure village in 2021.

Xiecun village in Huazhou county-level city is home to a 2,000-acre dragon fruit planting demonstration base, where 40,000 kilograms of dragon fruit can be harvested three or four times a month, leading to a total annual income of 5 million yuan ($785,144).

There is a more than 200-acre shine Muscat grape planting demonstration base in Yaguo village, with an annual output of 1.5 million kg and an output value of 20 million yuan. It provides 400 jobs for locals, increasing their collective annual income by about 5 million yuan.
