The Tangxia Li Street rural revitalization project, which integrates the fishing, culture, and tourism industries, opened in Maoming on Jan 31. It is the core project of the Yanjing Danjia market project.

The Tangxia Li Street project's opening not only exemplifies Maoming's successful rural revitalization efforts, but also showcases Danjia culture, a fishermen culture unique to Fujian province and Guangdong province in the South China Sea.

The Yanjing Danjia market project is located in Tangxia village, covering 502 households, and a population of 2,584. Construction of the project began last October. At present, 234.6 mu (15.64 hectares) of land has been transferred, while eight houses have been built, covering 1,666 square meters.

The project makes full use of the unique coastal ecological resources of Yanjing Ridge and highlights the marine cultural heritage of Yanjing. It also includes three unique geographical indicators, Yanjing Danjia market, the South China Sea fishing festival, and Tangxiali Street, which are centered around the local Madam Xian, Danjia, and fishing cultures.

This street not only boasts local specialties, but also actors from the Legend of Madam Xian film base to perform. Visitors can see a show that integrates the culture of Madam Xian, the Li ethnic group, and Danjia culture.
