Maoming to boast sustainable aviation fuel industry base

Oriental Energy and Honeywell UOP signed an agreement on Feb 25 to build a sustainable aviation fuel industry base in Maoming.

Oriental Energy is one of the major petrochemical suppliers and liquefied petroleum gas suppliers in China. It has also licensed five Honeywell UOP propane dehydrogenation process units. The construction of Donghua Energy's Maoming alkane resource comprehensive utilization project has achieved important results. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed and put into operation in October.

Honeywell UOP is a technology patent company that is engaged in providing technology, equipment, and other services to the petrochemical refining and sustainable renewable energy industries.

According to the agreement, they will build a sustainable aviation fuel industrial base in Maoming, with an annual output of 1 million metric tons, to produce green aviation fuel and green naphtha with globally cutting-edge green energy production technology. The first Maoming plant is scheduled to start production in 2023. Honeywell UOP will provide patent licensing, process packages, training, services, catalysts, adsorbents, and specialty equipment.
