The launch ceremony of Maoming's major projects in the first quarter of 2022 was held in the county-level city Huazhou on Feb 25.

In 2022, Maoming will arrange 248 key construction projects, 24 more than in 2021, with a total investment of 328.99 billion yuan ($52.13 billion) and an annual planned investment of 40.29 billion yuan, an increase of 5.27 billion yuan from last year. Among the projects, there are 72 provincial key projects, with a total investment of 215.58 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 17.13 billion yuan.

A total of 86 major projects will be launched in the first quarter of 2022, with a total investment of 45.11 billion yuan and a planned investment of 11.83 billion yuan for this year. Among them, there are 23 infrastructure projects, with a total investment of 13.39 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 6.53 billion yuan; 53 industrial projects, with a total investment of 29.44 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 4.75 billion yuan; as well as 10 livelihood security projects, with a total investment of 2.28 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 540 million yuan.
