Maoming High-tech Industrial Development Zone has accelerated the construction of a green and safe chemical park with industrial agglomeration and high product added value, while also promoting rural revitalization and building an urban-rural integrated development base.

In Mudeng village of Maoming High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the roads are decorated with all kinds of flowers and plants. The village uses idle land to build small gardens and small orchards. In front of the temple in the center of the village, a leisure square full of bauhinia flowers has been particularly popular with residents.

"The location at the entrance of the village used to be a pigsty. Now a garden is being planned to grow some fruits and vegetables, which is not only beautiful but also practical," a villager surnamed Xie said.

The zone has arranged funds for sanitation management and protection. It has also implemented 199 village-level cleaners, with an average of one cleaner for every 500 villagers. As of Feb 28, 150 natural villages in the zone have passed the cleanliness consolidation and improvement inspection assessment.

The zone will launch an action to build beautiful and livable villages, striving to have 80 percent of its administrative villages built into beautiful and livable villages by the end of the year.
