Maoming has begun construction on the Olympic Sports Center for the 17th Guangdong Provincial Games, which will be held in Maoming in 2026.

At present, the stadium, swimming pool, as well as gymnasium are undergoing ground treatment and earthwork. They are expected to be finished in 2024.

The project has a land area of about 300,000 square meters and a total construction area of about 190,000 sq m.
