The Guangdong Provincial River Chief System Office recently gave incentives to 24 counties that have achieved remarkable results in the construction of the ecological belt in 2020 and 2021. Among them, Xinyi, a county-level city under Maoming's jurisdiction, was on the list and received 10 million yuan ($1.56 million) in incentive funds.

Xinyi takes the construction of green roads and river management into consideration and promotes them simultaneously. At the beginning of 2020, the first phase of its ecological belt was completed and put into operation with high standards.

It takes the Jinjiang River and the Xijiang River in the upper reaches of the Jianjiang River as the main line. Based on "water safety, water ecology, and water beauty," it combines various ecological elements like mountains, forest fields, lakes, and grassland to create an ecological belt.

In addition, the second phase of the green road and the third phase of the green road have completed their pavement construction.
