With the summer season here, people across Maoming have been taking part in a wide variety of activities to find relief from the summer heat.

Swimming is a popular activity for people to enjoy the summer holiday. A swimming pool coach surnamed Chen said that with the weather getting hotter and hotter recently, more than 300 people come to swim every day, including about 100 to 200 students who are learning to swim.

Maoming Library is also a good place for people to escape the summer heat. A sophomore surnamed Liang studying at Tianjiabing Middle School in Maoming said that he and his classmates come to the library to do summer homework. "It's very cool because of the air conditioner, so we will be in the library from the morning to the afternoon," he added.

The beach is always crowded in the summer. A citizen surnamed Chen said that the days of high temperature made her uncomfortable at home, so she brought her family to the beach to play in the water.
