The 2022 National U Series Weightlifting Championship kicked off in Chongqing on July 29 for six days, in which Maoming won eight silver and nine bronze medals.

The competition was conducted in accordance with the competition rules of the International Weightlifting Federation. Competitors were grouped according to gender and age, separated into U14, U16, and U18 age groups. They competed in different weight classes, such as men's 49, 55, and 61 kilogram classes, as well as women's 40, 45, and 49 kg classes, with 11 levels of men's competitions and 12 levels of women's competitions.
